Thumbelina: ဒီကားလေးကတော့ ကလေးဘ၀က ကာတွန်းကားကောင်းလေးတွေထဲက တစ်ကားပါ။နတ်သူငယ်လေးတွေ တိရစ္ဆာန်လေးတွေနဲ့ လူသေးသေးလေးတွေကို အရမ်းသဘောကျတဲ့သူတွေအတွက်ဆို ကွက်တိပါပဲ။ပေါ့ပေါ့ပါးပါးလေးကြည့်ချင်တယ်ဆို ကြည့်မိလို့ နောင်တရမယ့်ကားမျိုးမဟုတ်ပါဘူး။အချိန်ပေးရတန်ပါတယ်နော်။ဇာတ်လမ်းလေးက တမ်ဘလီနာဆိုတဲ့ ပန်းပွင့်လေးထဲက မွေးဖွားလာတဲ့ လက်မဆိုဒ်လောက်ပဲရှိတဲ့ ကောင်မလေးသေးသေးလေးပေါ့။သူက သူ့လိုလူသေးသေးလေးတွေနဲ့မတွေ့မှာကို အရမ်းကြောက်ရှာတယ်။တစ်နေ့ကျ နတ်သူငယ်မင်းသားလေးကိုနီးလီးယပ်စ်က လှည့်လည်နေရင်း တမ်ဘလီနာသီချင်းဆိုနေတာလေးကိုတွေ့သွားတော့ သူတို့နှစ်ယောက်အချင်းချင်းနှစ်သက်မိသွားကြတယ်။မင်းသားလေးက မိဘနှစ်ပါးကိုပြောပြီး မနက်ကျ ပြန်လာပါ့မယ်ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလေးကို တွေးရင်း အိပ်ပျော်နေတဲ့ တမ်ဘလီနာကို ဖားမတစ်ကောင်က ခိုးသွားတဲ့အခါမှတော့ သေးသေးလေးဖြစ်နေတဲ့ တမ်ဘလီနာတစ်ယောက် ဘယ်လိုအခက်အခဲတွေကို တွေ့ရမလဲ အိမ်ကိုကော ပြန်ရောက်နိုင်မှာလား သူချစ်ရတဲ့ နတ်သူငယ်မင်းသားလေးနဲ့ကော ပြန်ဆုံနိုင်မှာလားဆိုတာ ကြည့်ကြည့်လိုက်ကျနော်။စကားမစပ် နတ်သူငယ်မင်းသားလေးက အရမ်းချစ်ဖို့ကောင်းတယ်နော်။ကလေးဘ၀ရဲ့ စိတ်ကူးယဥ်မင်းသားလေးတွေထဲက တစ်ယောက်ပါပဲနော်။ဒီကားလေးကို အရမ်းကြိုက်လွန်းလို့ နာမည်သိဖို့တောင် မနည်းရှာထားရတာ။

A girl no bigger than her mother’s thumb feels all alone in the world knowing she is the only person her size. Her wish for a companion at last comes true when the Prince of the fairies arrives at her window sill. However, the naive Thumbelina’s life goes downward from there when a toad kidnaps her.
